Stage Door, November 5, 2008

I was lucky enough to line up first at the stage door in Stratford on November 5 because we weren't seeing the play that night - and it's a good thing we thought to go down there, because he didn't sign after we saw Hamlet on the 6th.  My husband took all of the shots while I got my program signed (and managed only to say "thank you" while watching him sign it - so surreal, as if it wasn't happening to me).  My husband managed to keep his wits about him while taking photos...he said to David, "Come out and have a pint with us!"  I had to laugh at that point...to which David responded, "Oh no, I couldn't do that."  ha

We came all the way from Chicago to see the show, and we weren't disappointed.  Met some lovely people, too!

Enjoy the pictures (they aren't the best quality, but I don't have access to our high res shots at the moment!

This smart girl actually asked for a picture WITH David!

It was fabulous! David was great as was the entire cast. It was a treat for my how-did-I-get-to-be-40th birthday.

We were on the main floor by one of the stage "arms" and David and the cast kept using it to get on and off. We were at the end of the row, right by the arm, too, so it was super cool. And the autograph was something I want to DO OVER! ha ha We hadn't even planned on going down that night, but because we were one of the first ones there, we were front and center. He didn't sign the night we actually went to the play.

He's just so nice, isn't he? I just love him. I was so star struck when he came out, that it's kind of a blur. He was quick, but just really nice to everyone. I don't even remember him grabbing my program to sign. SAD!

Thanks for posting, as you can see, I don't really use this account except to post comments for you wonderful writers. I'm no writer myself, but I love reading fic. Can't wait to read more!
